Pastor:Rev. Steve Braudt is the Pastor of The United Methodist Church of Wilton. Pastor Steve started July 1, 2017. Pastor Steve is a Full Elder in the Iowa Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church.
Pastor Steve started his ministry in 1999 serving the Gifford United Methodist Church, in Gifford Iowa. Steve has in the years following served in a wide variety of locations and ministries, including, Youth Pastor for Eldora UMC, Police Chaplin for the City of Eldora, Associate Pastor for Youth and College Ministry at Cedar Falls First United Methodist Church, and most recently, Pastor Steve served as the Associate Pastor in Bettendorf, Iowa, at Asbury United Methodist Church.
Through the last 30 years, he has led his life based on trusting God’s call and direction. Pastor Steve graduated from Iowa Wesleyan College with a major in Art and a minor in Religion and earned his Master of Divinity Degree from Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary in Evanston, Illinois where he was also served as the Artist in Residence. In addition to being a Pastor, he has spent time as an industrial engineer, an artist, a youth pastor and has created a not-for-profit organization “The Art Project” to serve people in need.
Steve is married to Rev. Anne Lippincott, she recently retired the Senior Pastor at at St. John’s United Methodist Church in Davenport. They have a daughter Sarah Thompson, who lives in Clinton and is married to Brian and they have two children Trent and Calla. Besides, preaching and art, Pastor Steve loves spends time traveling, building motorcycles, model railroading and model planes.
Administrative Assistant: Chris Putnam joined the United Methodist Church of Wilton staff on May 9th, 2016. She has lived in Wilton, Iowa for more than 25 years. This is where Chris and husband Marty raised their two children, a son Steven and a daughter Lindsey. They have given her five beautiful grand kids, three boys and two girls.
Chris and Marty are long time members of Hope Church, The Apostolic Church of Tipton, where they actively serve in the Music Ministry.
